I had been legally separated from my husband for a few months before I decided to try online dating; I just didn’t want to go do the bar thing again.
Your site was the first site I signed up on, and after several failed attempts, I was just about to give up when I expanded my search area and there he was! My credits were nearly used up, so I sent him an email.
A few days went by, and I got no response, so I went on the next day, which was a Friday, and to my surprise, he was online!
I went home that night feeling discouraged and decided to go back online just to see if he might be back on, and he was! So, I sent him another email to see if he was interested in chatting via MSN. He said he wasn’t much of a computer user really, but I managed to keep him online until about 2 am. We finally exchanged numbers so he could call me the next day after he worked.
We decided we were going to meet about half way, since we lived about an hour and 15 minutes apart. We talked for hours at the restaurant and in his car that night, and we had to practically force ourselves to leave. He called me the next morning, and he met me and my 4 year old son at a play park, and we all had a great time together. We have been inseparable ever since.
His profile photo had this grin on his face that just begged for me to get to know him.
We trade off visiting each other every weekend, and it gets harder to leave every time, but we know that eventually we will be together. We have talked about everything, and there is (and has been from the start) such a strong connection between us that we both feel there is nothing that we can't make it through.
We just came off a wonderful cruise in April because he knew that was something I have always wanted to do. He is making all the things I have always wanted a reality, including allowing me to finally meet my soul mate. I know without a doubt that I am doing the same for him. We don’t know what the future holds for us, but for right now, we are taking it day by day and couldn’t be happier.
For all the people out there still looking for their soul mates - it is possible and don’t ever give up. It just takes some of us a little longer.
