Slinky Member, We have been working hard trying to make slinky.com.au a more enjoyable experience for all our members. What have we been up to? - We have been cleaning our data base of inactive users with over 2000 inactive profiles per week being removed from our system. - We have also been working on improving the search functions, so that when you do a member search you have a better choice on how to sort the results. - You can now choose to view members profiles by last active. This will ensure that all the members that appear up the top of the results are either newly joined or just updated their profile. - Profiles with photos will always show first. - If you haven't got a photo on your profile, now is the time to upload one if you want to feature up the top of the searches. In Development - We will be creating more areas within each state of Australia to give you better searching capabilities for members that may not be in major cities. Latest Scams Dont give out your mobile number Don't give out your mobile phone number. There are scammers around currently from places like safedivert.com It is a SCAM. Normally the messages go something like "I'm really busy, so send me a text message with your mobile number". Please do not respond - they are scammers that pop up every now and then - trying to fleece members and charge you for premium rate text messages. Also.... If members say they are outside of Australia If you get an email message from another member saying that they are outside Australia - Click on the button in your inbox "Report as Spam" and all their messages will be put on hold pending an investigation. Email Communication If you would like to remain an active member, but don't want to receive any 'Match Report' or 'Newsletters'. 1. Login - You will see a link on that page under 'Contacts' called 'Slinky Report' - Currently Active. 2. You can deactivate it by clicking the link 'Click to deactivate'. You can turn it on or off at any time. This will not affect you being notified by email of kisses & messages from other members - which you will still get. If you would like to Suspend your account at Slinky 1. Login 2. You will see a link on the left navigation bar 'Edit My Profile'. 3. Click that link, and at the top of that page - click 'Suspend'. Your profile will no longer be viewable and you will not receive any mail. You can login at anytime in the future and reactivate it. Go back to slinky |
