Email tips
If you are receiving mail from slinky as jumbled/messed up text (html tags showing in body of email).
Your preference for receiving email from slinky needs to correspond with your settings in your email browser (Microsoft Outlook etc) on your PC or the settings for your webmail (Hotmail / Gmail etc).
So, first up check what your own email program is set up for ie: 'Receive email in text format' or 'receive email in html format'
Then make sure that your email settings at slinky correspond with your PC settings. To do this, you need to login to slinky, go to My Home, then go to Edit my profile.
Go down to the email section - 'I can receive - html/text/not sure' - select the same setting as your PC / webmail. If you are unsure, click 'Text'
Tip: If you are using Gmail - always select 'text'.
If you have any further problems after you do the above - contact support.
How to make sure you get all your email
The general idea is to add @slinky.com.au as an email address to your Contact list and/or address book. Once you have slinky registered as a genuine contact, it is unlikely system mail would then be treated as spam.
You may have junk filters turned on.
A number of email providers (such as Hotmail and Yahoo) have a - junk filter - option. You'll need to reset your junk filter settings to allow receipt of email from slinky. The following is a guide to ensure that your registered email address is setup properly to receive all your Slinky Mail.
Please select your email application and follow the steps provided.
Please check your - BULK - folder for slinky email
Follow these steps to help ensure emails from slinky are delivered to your Yahoo inbox:
1. Log on to your Yahoo account
2. Click on the Addresses tab (top left hand side)
3. Click on Add Contact
4. In the Name section add slinky and with Email you should add @slinky.com.au
5. Click Save Contact and then on the next page click done.

Follow these steps to help ensure emails from slinky are delivered to your Hotmail inbox:
1. Log on to your Hotmail account
2. Click on the Options link (located on the top right)
3. Click on Mail (left hand side)
4. Click on the Junk Email Protection link
5. Click on Safe List
6. Enter slinky.com.au in the text field and click the Add button.
Follow these steps to help ensure emails from slinky are delivered to your msn inbox:
1. Click Email Settings (lower left side)
2. Click the Junk Mail link
3. Click the Safe List link
4. Select - Add an item to this list
5. Enter slinky.com.au
6. Click Add and then click Save Changes
Other problems that you may experience
- - Make sure that your mail box's capacity is not full
- - If you are using services like supernerd.com.au - You probably will not get any mail, so it is suggested that you use alternative email services.
